Hi!My name is Vincent E.; I am a decolonial researcher. My main interests are russian colonialism, decolonial thought, environmental media and critical infrastructure studies.
I am a PhD student at Queen’s University. I live as an uninvited settler in Katarokwi (Kingston), on land stolen from the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, and Huron-Wendat peoples
In my PhD project examine the Cold War-era nuclear optimism from a decolonial perspective, focusing on the ways how Soviet nuclear colonialism was normalised through the forms of international communication. As well as the ways how artists and researchers develops ways of resisting the nuclear coloniality using forms of mediation.
I use they/them pronouns and mostly speak English and Russian.
I write, curate, teach, moderate, organise, dream, plot and, most importantly, make mistakes.
