Hi!

My name is Vincent E.; I am a decolonial researcher. My main interests are russian colonialism, decolonial thought,  environmental media and critical infrastructure studies.

I am a PhD student at Queen’s University. I live as  an uninvited settler in Katarokwi (Kingston), on land stolen from the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, and Huron-Wendat peoples

My doctoral project develps decolonial approaches to Soviet Cold War–era media, centering Indigenous land-based struggles.

I use they/them pronouns and mostly speak English and Russian.

I write, curate, teach, moderate, organise, dream, plot and, most importantly, make mistakes.

My current professional highlight is co-curating the conference Technologies of Colonialism and Solidarity  alongside Mariia Shynkarenko and Svitlana Matviyenko. It took place on April 28 – 29 at IWM, Vienna.

I also co-develop a mutual learning platform, Plotting Institute

You can find some of my recent work in the Index.

You can email me if you would like my more formal CV, or if you would like to ask me something about my work.

I mostly post life updates on Instagram and write mounthly updates about what I am reading, doing and thinking on Substack

I hope you have a great day
